What is land clearing?
Land clearing is the removal of trees, brush, stumps, and debris to make a lot usable for building, farming, or access. We cut, grub out roots, remove rock where needed, and haul everything off so you are left with clean, workable ground. We clear building lots, acreage, trails, and overgrown cottage properties.
What land clearing includes
- Brush and undergrowth removal
- Tree felling and removal [TENANT TO CONFIRM any arborist scope]
- Stump grinding and grubbing
- Rock and debris removal
- Hauling and disposal
- Rough grading after clearing
How much does land clearing cost?
Lot and land clearing is project-based, priced by area, tree and brush density, and how far material has to be hauled. Lightly treed lots clear fast; dense bush and big stumps take more machine time, billed in the $50 to $150 per hour range for equipment and operator. See the cost guide or get a free quote.
Clearing in the Kawarthas
Kawartha lots are often heavily treed, rocky, and sloped toward water, so clearing has to respect drainage and shoreline rules. We clear without tearing up the ground you want to keep, manage erosion, and flag any grading that falls under the City of Peterborough Site Alteration By-law. See permits guide.
